A Little About Mrs. Iverson...
Education
My Bachelor of Science teaching degree is in both elementary & special education. I graduated from Iowa State University and immediately headed for the less humid and overall better climate of Colorado! After teaching for one year, I began taking graduate classes and earned a Master of Arts degree in special education from University of Northern Colorado.

Teaching Experience
The 2020-21 school year will mark my 23rd year of teaching...all at the best school in Fort Collins! I began my career by teaching students with learning disabilities. For the next three years, I taught students with significant emotional disabilities. Although I enjoyed teaching students with special needs, I then decided I would like to try teaching general education. I taught first grade for a year, and I've been teaching second grade since 2003. I love teaching 2nd grade!
My Family
My husband, Jesse, is a GIS Cartographer (he creates nautical maps & charts on computers). We have two wonderful sons. Jake is 17 years old and Matthew is 14 years old. They both attend Fort Collins High School, as a senior and freshman. As a family, we enjoy playing/watching sports, traveling, reading, doing puzzles, and watching movies.
